Licensed and Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist, Herbalist & Registered Nurse

I am the founder and director of Niantic Acupuncture and Family Wellness, LLC in Niantic, Connecticut.

Presently, I am serving the president of the board of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncturists (CTSA) the Connecticut primary representative for the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA).

In 2003, I earned my graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) from the Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California after which I started a private practice as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine in Felton and Sunnyvale, California while maintaining privileges as a licensed Acupuncturist at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California.

I have 25 years of experience as an RN in Critical and Emergency Care also in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My skills are in preventive medicine, the treatment of Chronic, autoimmune, and acute illness, pain disorders, myofascial and orthopedic disorders, sports medicine, mental health, physical and emotional disorders of stress, anxiety and depression, internal medicine, cardiovascular disorders, women’s health, and hospice and palliative care.

I consider each person’s case as unique, highly personal, and fully integrated, emotionally, physically and mentally.

By combining my knowledge and experience both as a Western and Eastern medicine health care practitioner, I am able to provide an integrative approach to assessment and effective treatment, even for those who are very ill.

I provide the full range of Oriental Medicine including Acupuncture, dry needling myofascial release work, Gua Sha, Cupping, Tuina, Herbal prescriptions, Nutritional and dietary support, as well as therapeutic movement instruction when necessary.

​I maintain an active role in the health community through contact with a number of Naturopaths, Medical and surgical MDs, Chiropractors, Nutritionists, Massage therapists, and more.

Dr.Anya Yudin-Baehrle LAc, DAOM,MQT

Licensed and Nationally Board Certified  Acupuncturist and Herbalist, Medical Qi Gong Therapist

Dr Anya Y. Baehrle is a true healer at heart, she started practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine after a long journey towards realizing her true passion – helping others find a way of living their best, most balanced lives. She achieves that through combining a holistic approach to medicine, health and well-being, and her unique style of transformative life-coaching and mentoring.

Anya was first exposed to the power of Chinese Medicine when she was a teen, while her mother was studying it in order to incorporate it in her dental practice. Already then, Anya was amazed at the versatility and effectiveness of acupuncture and other medical modalities of Chinese medicine. Her appreciation for holistic medicine deepened even more, as years later, she was working through her own health challenges. She truly embodies the principle of Physician Heals Thyself.

With her life’s experience, Anya has unique understanding of the challenging and demanding modern lifestyle. She strives to bring a holistic healing approach to her patients in all aspects of their daily lives. She specializes in treatment of neurological conditions, auto-immune diseases, treatment of pain and injury and she is especially well versed in herbal medicine. As a mother of 3, she loves working with adolescents and young athletes.

Anya is a dedicated Qi Gong practitioner and Medical Qi Gong Therapist. She completed Qigong training programs in Korea and China. During her training in Qingchengshang (Cheng Du Province), she received her Chinese name Ya Xiao Wei (“Gracefully Cultivating for the Benefit of Others”).

Anya completed her study of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the highly regarded Five Branches University. After extensive clinical work, Anya journeyed to her externship at the China Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan, where she had an opportunity to learn from top practitioners in the field of Internal Medicine, Facial Rejuvenation and Orthopedic Acupuncture. Anya completed her doctorate at the cademy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) in Oakland, California.  She continues her advanced study of various schools of herbal medicine and acupuncture with renowned teachers all over the world, while also teaching acupuncture as an adjunct professor at ACCHS.

Anya is a National Board, California and Connecticut State Board certified Licensed Acupuncturist.

Outside of her clinical practice, Anya is an avid athlete, marathoner and a yogi. She applies her understanding of human body and energy management in her running, using the Qi Running method, which allows her to turn running into a meditative and low impact experience.

Jim Fitzpatrick, LAc

Licensed Acupuncturist

Jim Fitzpatrick has been a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner since 2002. Jim was Clinic Director at the University of Bridgeport from 2005-2015. Since 2015, Jim has been a clinical practitioner with MD’s, ND’s, PhD’s and other Healthcare professionals.

Jim is consistently self-engaged in expanding his skills and knowledge to advance his application of the most effective acupuncture and Chinese Medicine techniques and protocols to help his patients regain and maintain and their health and well-being.

He considers acupuncure to be a combination of art and science, and that acupuncture is one technique within the larger philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He engages in the ‘TCM’ philosophy that acupuncture used with herbal, dietary, meditation and lifestyle practices can be incredibly beneficial.

Jim is dedicated to being a passionate, creative and effective practitioner.

Kay Baker, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

I have been licensed and practicing Massage Therapy since 2005. I graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, Connecticut.

I derive great joy from helping people achieve and maintain wellness through massage therapy. I have always been interested in the function of the human body and how alternative modalities can affect wellness in the individual.

I believe we are our own greatest healers. I continue to self-educate by experiencing many healing techniques for my own health and well-being. By expanding my knowledge I can better serve my clients.

I am a voracious reader and enjoy reading about and have knowledge in the areas of Aromatherapy, Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Acupuncture, Energy Medicine, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Neuroscience and general health and wellness.

I have additional training in Corporate Chair Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Reflexology, and Reiki.
